IBR, Fall 2013, #1

I've been shooting a ton (and of course, always editing) but haven't been keeping up on posting pictures here. I'll backtrack now; the following image installments are all from Idaho Business Review assignments. Most were the selected, published photos and some are just outtakes that I like. Happy December!

Chad Lamer of Spink Butler Law firm.

Atlos Academies' Ryan Van Alfen, John Stellmon and Jason Kotter in their downtown Boise offices.
Icon Credit Union's West Boise branch, grand opening.

Willie Nelson 2013

My excitement about getting the chance to shoot the Willie Nelson show was quickly tempered by his management's strict photo policies. The standard three-song limit was expected, but shooting from only the soundboard area made for tough angles and options. Willie sounded great though and I enjoyed his set after the cameras had to be put away. For Knitting Factory Entertainment, shot at the Idaho Botanical Gardens, 25 August 2013.

Lincoln Legacy

Skip Critell is a Abraham Lincoln living historian and I was fortunate to get the chance to photograph him, as Abe, for a Boise Weekly piece recently. Skip was very gracious as I asked him to pose throughout the new (and only partially completed) Lincoln Legacy exhibit at the ID State Archives.

Feast II, Fundraiser Fotos

Visual Arts Collective, Garden City, ID.

Tyler Walker, a visual projection/video collage artist. His pitch was hilarious but he didn't win.

Meshel Rene Ledet and Chelsea Snow of the event host Charm School, pictured with the evening's winner Erin Mallea (center).
Feast 1 winner, Sam Johnson, with the head to his "life-sized, anatomically correct, fully-animated sauropod dinosaur puppet."

Photographed The Charm School's Feast II for the Boise Weekly. Here is a portion of Harrison Berry's write-up:
"The Charm School's Feast dinner is a quarterly competition among Boise creatives to snag a crowd-funded micro grant. Attendees pay $20 admission, which includes a cafeteria-style dinner prepared by a rotating lineup of local chefs, a seat and a ballot. Each presenter has a few minutes on the VAC stage to pitch his or her idea, and at the end of the evening, attendees vote for the project they think deserves the grant, which is pooled from the door money. "

Constructing Images

Shot the JUMP project construction site for IBR in early May. I could have stayed on location for days, so many vibrant visuals. PMS2013
